IRCOM provides decent, affordable housing for over 300 immigrants and refugees from 16 different countries, living in inner city Winnipeg. Newcomers can live at IRCOM for a maximum of three years, as they acculturate to their new environment. At our housing complex, we provide programs and services that help newcomers integrate into the wider community. Some among these include the Community Resource Program which provides orientations, referrals for employment, counseling, training etc.; the After School Program for children and youth with a focus on education, recreation, outreach, leadership development and cross-cultural communication; community based literacy classes with on-site childcare; financial literacy, Greening and volunteer program.
